Best Nursing Homes in Singapore

ECON is one of Singapore’s larger private nursing home groups. It runs nine nursing homes, including Braddell, Buangkok, Chai Chee, Choa Chu Kang, Henderson, Upper East Coast and Yio Chu Kang. Care pathways cover stroke, dementia, respiratory and orthopaedic conditions. Homes also offer rehabilitation and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Since March 2026, ECON has been part of TPG’s One Aged Care group. It still operates under the ECON name.

Ling Kwang is a Christian charity nursing home in Serangoon Gardens. It started as a retirement home in 1983 and later became a nursing home. Many residents are wheelchair-bound or bedridden. It also runs day care and the IHDC programme for seniors still living at home.

Visiting hours are 10am to 7pm, with up to two visitors per resident. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, and Saturday, 9am to 1pm.

NTUC Health is one of Singapore’s largest eldercare providers. It runs nursing homes at Chai Chee, Geylang East, Jurong Spring, Jurong West, Pasir Ris and Tampines. Homes provide round-the-clock nursing and rehabilitation. The Jurong West home’s rooftop garden has won design awards.

Peacehaven is run by The Salvation Army in Upper Changi. It was Singapore’s first nursing home accredited under the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards’ EQuIP residential care standards. Residents get individual care plans, therapy and social work support.

The same compound hosts Peacehaven Jade Circle, a dementia care project with the Lien Foundation and Khoo Chwee Neo Foundation. It offers dementia day care and residential apartments. Admission is through AIC, usually via a hospital social worker.

Red Crowns is a private alternative to a traditional nursing home. Seniors live in HDB flats or condos with a few housemates and live-in caregivers. It has more than 40 homes, with centres in Toa Payoh, Tampines, Woodlands, Marine Parade and Hillview.

Red Crowns lists assisted living at S$2,500 to S$6,000 a month. This covers accommodation, utilities, meals, 24/7 caregiving, housekeeping, laundry and activities. Medical consumables and specialised treatment cost extra. It suits seniors who need daily help but not full hospital-style nursing.

Thye Hua Kwan (THK) runs two nursing homes:

The Hougang home is a seven-storey building with a large share of residents living with dementia. THK also runs a Senior Care Centre at Kaki Bukit (+65 6241 1808) and home care services (+65 6841 2128). Visits are daily, 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm, and must be booked ahead.
