The best storage in Singapore depends on how often you need your things. For self storage with many locations, start with StorHub, Extra Space Asia or Lock+Store. For door-to-door storage you never have to visit, Beam and EZ Storage are the simplest. For small budgets, lockers start around S$45 to S$70 a month. For wine, Work+Store and K Cellars run dedicated cellars. We checked every provider below on 7 October 2026 and removed two we could not confirm were still trading.

What’s changed in 2026

  • Space Next Door’s website now redirects to StorHub, so we treat it as part of StorHub.
  • The old stor.com.sg address no longer loads. The same business now trades as The Storage Place at thestorageplace.com.sg.
  • Extra Space Asia moved its Singapore site to extraspaceasia.com/sg and won a 2026 Self Storage Association Asia award.
  • StorHub’s July 2026 price guide states no deposit, no admin fee and no minimum term at its facilities.
  • Lock+Store’s aircon promotions ended in September 2026. Check the current rate before you book.
  • K Cellars, a Hong Kong wine storage specialist, opened its first overseas cellar in Kallang in December 2025.
  • Store Room and Store-Y are no longer listed. We found no dated sign of activity for either in the past 12 months.
  • The PSG, EDG and MRA grants closed on 29 September 2026. The new EDGE Grant replaces them, but we cannot confirm it covers storage rental.

How much does storage cost in Singapore (2026)?

Wine 4–18 cases From about S$56 K Cellars personal locker from S$56; private cellar 30–134 sq ft from S$580

What changes the price

  • Aircon: StorHub says aircon units usually cost 20–35% more than non-aircon units of the same size. Beam’s 15 sq ft unit is S$65 ambient and S$98 aircon.
  • Location: StorHub’s guide says central facilities cost 10–25% more than suburban ones.
  • Prepayment: Most operators discount prepaid terms. Extra Space Asia offers 30% off 3–12 months prepaid until 30 November 2026.
  • Transport: Door-to-door services add moving costs. EZ Storage charges S$100–280 for moving plus a S$20–60 admin fee. Beam delivers from S$35 a trip.

Extra fees to ask about

  • Security deposit: StorHub’s guide puts the market range at 0–2 months’ rent. StorHub itself charges none.
  • Admin or registration fee: S$20–50 one-off at many operators, per the same guide.
  • Minimum term: 1–6 months is common. Shorter terms usually cost more per month.
  • Locks, insurance and after-hours access: some charge extra, others include them.

How we chose

This list is desk research, done on 7 October 2026. We did not visit facilities, rent units or test any service. Here is what we checked for each business:

  • Still operating: each provider needed dated evidence from the past 12 months. That meant site updates, dated posts, news or company filings.
  • Published prices: we preferred providers that show prices online. Where prices are hidden, we say “Quote-based”.
  • Contact details: phone, email and addresses come from each company’s own contact or location pages where possible.
  • Range of service: self access, aircon, valet, business and wine storage.
  • Awards and accreditations: listed only when we saw them on the company’s site or in a trade publication.

We do not quote star ratings unless we saw them ourselves on Google. No business paid to appear here.

Beam valet storage Singapore

Beam is valet storage. You book a pickup, Beam collects your boxes or furniture, and stores them in its warehouse. Each item is photographed into an app, so you can see what you stored. When you need something back, you request a delivery. Pickup is free, and return deliveries start at S$35 a trip. You can pay per box or rent a unit of space. A 6-month prepay cuts the 15 sq ft rate to S$49 ambient or S$74 aircon.

What reviewers say: TheSmartLocal’s May 2026 guide lists Beam’s per-box and 15 sq ft pricing and describes it as a pickup-and-delivery service. Beam won the Self Storage Association Asia’s “Valet Storage of the Year” in 2024, according to search results we could not open directly.

Pros

  • ✓ Clear per-box pricing from S$4 a month
  • ✓ Free pickup, and no trips to a storage facility
  • ✓ App inventory with photos of every item

Lockers of 16 sq ft start at S$89 a month including GST, with no security deposit at booking. Business units of 81–120 sq ft start at S$440 a month.

Its price table shows placeholders rather than figures, so ask for a quote.

K Cellars is wine storage only. Its Kallang Pudding cellar holds bottles at controlled temperature and humidity, with anti-vibration racking. Access uses facial recognition and fingerprints, and CCTV runs round the clock. Personal lockers hold 4 to 18 cases from S$56 a month. Private cellar rooms of 30–134 sq ft start at S$580 a month. Members can book the boardroom for tastings and events.

What reviewers say: Tatler Asia covered the Singapore launch in December 2025, quoting director Angie Ting. Middleclass.sg reported the locker and private cellar prices the same month.

Pros

  • ✓ Purpose-built wine cellar, not a converted storage unit
  • ✓ Biometric access and 24/7 CCTV
  • ✓ Locker pricing from S$56 a month
  • ✓ Event space for members

Cons

  • ✕ Wine only; no general storage
  • ✕ New in Singapore, so there is little local review history

Which storage should you choose?

  • A few boxes, no visits: Beam. You pay per box and never go to a facility.
  • Moving or renovating: EZ Storage bundles moving and storage. Boxpark rents from seven days if you prefer self access.
  • Cheapest locker: StorHub (from S$45) or Lock+Store (S$48 with promo code). Compare the full rate after promos.
  • Near your home, with 24/7 access: StorHub, Extra Space Asia or Lock+Store, as they have the most sites.
  • Aircon storage for electronics, documents or leather: Work+Store, StorHub or Beam’s aircon option.
  • E-commerce stock: Spaceship for fulfilment, or Urban Space if you also need a desk.
  • Wine: K Cellars for serious collections; Work+Store or Extra Space Asia if you also need general storage.
  • Central location: The Storage Place near Lavender, or StorHub’s central sites.

Red flags to watch for

  • Promo-only pricing: “2 months free” or “30% off” can hide a high base rate. Ask what you will pay from month four.
  • Price rises on renewal: ask whether the rate is fixed for your contract, and how much notice they give before raising it.
  • Unclear deposits: deposits range from zero to two months’ rent. Get the refund terms and timing in writing.
  • Long notice periods: some operators need weeks of notice before you move out. Missing it can cost another month.
  • “24/7 access” with office-hours move-ins: you may only be able to sign up or get your key during office hours.
  • Insurance gaps: check what is covered, the maximum payout, and whether your home insurance already covers stored items.
  • Valet retrieval costs: door-to-door storage looks cheap until you pay for several return deliveries.
  • No address or a dead website: we removed two providers this year partly because their sites were down or stale. Do not prepay a business you cannot verify.
  • Grant claims: be wary if anyone says a government grant will pay for your storage. The EDGE Grant replaced PSG, EDG and MRA on 29 September 2026, and coverage is not confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a storage unit cost in Singapore?

Lockers of 12–20 sq ft usually cost S$50–120 a month. Medium units of 50–100 sq ft cost about S$250–400. The cheapest published lockers we saw in October 2026 were StorHub from S$45 and Lock+Store at S$48 with a promo code.

What is the difference between self storage and door-to-door storage?

With self storage, you rent a unit and visit it yourself, often 24/7. With door-to-door (valet) storage, a company collects your items and returns them on request. Beam and EZ Storage are door-to-door. StorHub, Extra Space Asia and Lock+Store are self storage.

Is aircon storage worth it in Singapore?

Aircon storage helps with Singapore’s humidity, which can damage wood, leather, paper and electronics. It usually costs 20–35% more than non-aircon storage. For plastic boxes of clothes or tools, non-aircon is often enough.

Where can I find temporary storage in Singapore?

Boxpark rents from seven days. StorHub states no minimum term, and Extra Space Asia has a one-month minimum. For storage during a move or renovation, EZ Storage combines moving and storage in one booking.

What size storage unit do I need?

A 16–20 sq ft locker fits several boxes and small items. A 40–60 sq ft unit fits the contents of a bedroom. A 100 sq ft unit fits most of a two-bedroom flat. Ask the provider for a size guide before you book.

Which storage facility is closest to me?

StorHub (18+ sites), Lock+Store (14+ sites), Extra Space Asia (12 sites) and Storefriendly (8 sites) have the widest coverage. Check each provider’s location page for the nearest site to your home or office.

Is self storage in Singapore secure?

Most facilities use CCTV, PIN or app access and individual locks. Some add unit alarms (Boxpark) or biometric access (K Cellars). Ask who holds keys, and whether your goods are insured against fire and theft.

Can I store wine in a normal storage unit?

Not for long-term ageing. Wine needs steady temperature and humidity. Use dedicated wine storage, such as K Cellars, Work+Store’s wine storage or Extra Space Asia’s wine lockers.

Can my business claim a grant for storage rental?

We cannot confirm this. The PSG, EDG and MRA grants closed on 29 September 2026. The new EDGE Grant supports up to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs generally, capped at S$100,000 a year. Check with Enterprise Singapore before assuming storage qualifies.

What items are not allowed in storage units?

Most providers ban flammable or hazardous materials, perishable food, live animals, illegal goods and weapons. Rules vary, so read the contract’s list of prohibited items before you move in.
