Punggol East Container Park at 50 Punggol East is still open in early October 2026, but it is closing. Most tenants were told to stop trading by 31 October 2026. On 3 October, the four master tenants here and at Tebing Lane were offered lease extensions to end-2027. It is not yet clear which eateries will stay.
This guide covers the food at the container park and the neighbouring Tebing Lane blocks. We re-checked each listing in October 2026. Because of the closure, call or message a place before you make the trip.
What’s Changed in 2026
- May 2026: The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) told master tenant City Sprouts to return the site for future housing.
- Late August 2026: Tenants were told to stop trading by 31 October 2026. The site must be handed back by 31 December 2026.
- 20 September 2026: Fat Po at 10 Tebing Lane closed for good after eight years.
- 3 October 2026: Punggol MP Yeo Wan Ling said the four master tenants will be offered extensions of up to one year, to end-2027.
- End of October 2026: Seoul Good (now run with ChickyFish) has announced it will close.
- 1 November 2026: The Smok Hous (opened November 2025) and Filipino eatery Tara Na! by Easy Eatz plan to close.
What You Should Know About Punggol Container Park
Punggol East Container Park is a cluster of shipping-container eateries beside Sungei Serangoon. It has run for about a decade. City Sprouts manages it and has more than 50 tenants, from restaurants to prawning, billiards and pickleball.
The neighbouring blocks at 6 and 10 Tebing Lane hold more restaurants, including Uncle Leong Seafood and Whisk & Paddle. They are run by separate master tenants but face the same lease end.
Is Punggol Container Park Closing?
Yes. The land is set aside for housing. Up to 8,000 homes could be built across the wider 25-hectare site.
The original plan had most tenants out by 31 October 2026. The lease extension offered on 3 October 2026 may let some businesses stay until end-2027. City Sprouts must now agree terms with its sub-tenants, so each eatery’s last day may differ.
When You Should Go
Most eateries open from late afternoon until past midnight. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest. Go on a weekday evening for an easier table.

- Bring insect repellent. The seating is outdoors beside the water and greenery.
- Carry some cash. Not every small stall takes cards.
- Check the eatery’s Facebook or Instagram on the day. Closing dates are still changing.
Travelling to Punggol Container Park
- By LRT: Riviera LRT station (PE4) on the Punggol East loop is about a 4-minute walk away.
- By MRT: Take the North East Line to Punggol, then change to the LRT for Riviera.
- By car: There are open-air parking lots on site. They fill up on weekend nights.
