Temasek Club Chalet (Villas) 2026: Rates, Who Can Book and Alternatives

The Temasek Club “chalet” is 12 villa rooms at the SAF officers’ club on Rifle Range Road. It sits beside Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Club members can book from $108++ for a weekday night in a Small Room, or $128++ in a Big Room. What’s Changed in 2026

• Rates have not gone up. The villa rates online in October 2026 match the club’s January 2023 rate sheet for SAFRA members.
• Club rules re-issued (April 2026). Cancelling now costs 50% a month or more ahead, and 100% within a month.
• Dining line-up. The club’s dining page lists Daisy’s Dream Kitchen, Fu Lin Men, Sumac, The Outpost and The Hub. The Hub is open to the public daily, 7am to midnight.
• Membership card is digital. Members show a virtual card in the club’s app, including at SAFRA and other reciprocal clubs.

Who Can Book a Temasek Club Villa?

Temasek Club is a members’ club, not a public hotel. Membership is open to:

• active SAF officers, both regulars and NSFs
• Senior Military Experts
• NS Key and R(NS) Appointment Holders
• retired SAF officers

Members of SAFRA, Sembawang Country Club, SAF Yacht Club and The Chevrons can book at the reciprocal rate. Under the club’s published SAFRA arrangement, reciprocal guests can book up to 30 days before check-in. Walk-ins are allowed if a villa is free. A separate MRO and corporate rate also applies, with no walk-ins. We found no option for the general public to book directly.

Bookings are first come, first served. Full payment is needed to secure a villa, online or at the customer service counter. Weekends and school holidays sell out first, so book as soon as your window opens.

House Rules to Know

• No more than 4 guests may stay overnight in each villa.
• No noisy activities after 10pm.
• Cancelling costs 50% of the fee a month or more ahead, and 100% within a month.
• The villas can be taken over for a national emergency. Guests would then have 24 hours to leave.
• Members pay for any damage or missing items.

What the Villas Are Like

All 12 villa rooms overlook the forest of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Each has an en-suite bathroom with an oversized bathtub and rain shower. Rooms come with free Wi-Fi, air-con, a TV, work desk, mini fridge and coffee and tea.

• Big Room: 4 units, 40 sqm, with a super king bed, a single pull-out bed and a single sofa bed.
• Small Room: 8 units, 32 sqm. Six have a super king bed and pull-out bed; two have twin single beds. Small Rooms have interconnecting doors for bigger groups.
• Accessible room: one Small Room is fitted for guests with mobility needs.
• Extra bed: a foldable bed is available for a fee.

What Else Is at the Club

• Dining: Daisy’s Dream Kitchen (Peranakan), Fu Lin Men (Cantonese), Sumac (Asian and Mediterranean), The Outpost (bistro bar with live music) and The Hub (cafe). The club says The Hub is open to the public daily, 7am to midnight.
• Sports: swimming pool (7am to 9pm daily), gym, tennis and futsal courts, and studios.
• For kids: De Happy Ark indoor playground, a wading pool and a MindChamps preschool.
• Social: karaoke rooms and recreation rooms, bookable by the hour.
• Bowling: Singapore Bowling @ Rifle Range operates in the same building, from about $5 a game for the public.

We could not find BBQ pits listed for the Temasek Club villas. If a BBQ is the main plan, look at The Chevrons, D’Resort or Aranda Country Club below.

What Guests Say

Recent public reviews of the villas themselves are scarce. Most Tripadvisor reviews for Temasek Club cover its restaurants and bowling alley. A May 2023 Lemon8 review praised the quiet forest setting, the space for the price and the on-site food. Recent guides describe the villas as good value for a nature break. We have not seen enough recent villa reviews to report common complaints.

Best for: families who want space and a public booking option.

HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok is a clubhouse for Home Team NSmen and their families. West Villa offers villa-style rooms with four or five single beds. The clubhouse has a pool, Laser Quest, a futsal court and function rooms, so groups have plenty to do on site.

Best for: Home Team NSmen planning an active group stay.

The Chevrons is the club for SAF Warrant Officers and Specialists, and it also takes public bookings. It has chalets and bungalow units, a pool, a gym and the Boulder+ bouldering gym. A poolside BBQ pit can be rented. Halal dining is available at Jubilicious and Mamanda.

Best for: West-side groups who want a BBQ, a pool and karaoke in one place.
