1. How much does a vocal coach cost in Singapore?

The cost of hiring a vocal coach in Singapore can vary depending on the instructor’s experience, location, and lesson format. Here’s a general breakdown:

• Beginner vocal coaches or group classes:
SGD 40 to 70 per hour
(Often found in music schools or community centres)

• Experienced or professional-level coaches:
SGD 80 to 150 per hour
(Ideal for serious learners or those preparing for performances/auditions)

• Specialised vocal training or celebrity coaches:
SGD 150 and above per hour
(For advanced training, music production, or stage performance prep)

Some vocal studios may offer package deals or trial classes, which can help reduce costs over time. Online lessons are also available and can sometimes be more affordable.

2. Can you learn to sing in 30 days?

Yes—but with realistic expectations. In 30 days, you can make noticeable progress in your singing ability, especially if you’re a beginner. While you won’t become a professional vocalist in a month, you can:

• Improve pitch accuracy

• Increase vocal control

• Build vocal confidence

• Understand your vocal range

• Learn basic techniques

3. Can anyone learn to sing?

Yes, because the human voice is an instrument, and if people can learn to play an instrument, they can learn to sing. While a very small percentage (1.5% of the general public) are not able to learn how to sing (no matter how much effort they put into it), anybody who is willing to put the time and effort into learning this skill is bound to see some improvement. Even if you aren’t “born with it” or naturally gifted, you can still develop what ability you do have and be able to enjoy the sheer pleasure of singing.
